How does the AI eraser work?
Mark the area you want to remove with the brush: a watermark, the date printed on an old photo, some text, a cable, a person in the background. The AI looks at what is around it and rebuilds that part so it looks like it was never there.
You can change the brush size, erase strokes and undo, to mark exactly what you want gone. The tighter the painted area, the more natural the result.
You get one free try with a free account; in Pro each image costs 1 of your 100 monthly credits.
How to remove a watermark
- Upload the photo.
- Paint over the watermark, text or object. Adjust the brush if needed.
- Press “Erase marked area”.
- Compare before and after and download the PNG.
What can you erase?
- Watermarks and logos on your own photos or licensed stock images.
- Dates printed on old scanned photos.
- Text, emojis and stickers added on top of an image.
- Objects, cables or people sneaking into the background.
- Small spots and scratches.
Supported formats
- Input: PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP and GIF (first frame).
- Very large images are reduced to 4096 px per side before processing; very small ones are enlarged so the AI has enough detail.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
With a free account you get one free try in each AI tool. ToolStudio Pro includes 100 AI credits every month: removing a background, upscaling, vectorizing or removing a watermark costs 1 credit per image, and a logo costs 10 credits. If you run out you can buy 100-credit packs as often as you like; purchased credits never expire.
Is it legal to remove a watermark?
Yes, if the image is yours or you have a licence to use it that way. Do not use it to take other people’s protected images.
What if a trace is left?
Run the result again, painting only what is left. Small marks on simple backgrounds disappear in one pass.
Am I charged if it fails?
No. A credit is only taken when you get the result. If the AI does not answer or the image cannot be processed, the credit (or your free try) is given back automatically.
What happens to my images?
The image is sent to our server and to the AI service (Recraft) only to process it. The result is kept for one hour so you can download it and is then deleted. We do not use your images for anything else.
