Why merge audio files?

Sometimes a recording comes in pieces: several WhatsApp voice messages, the chapters of an audiobook, the parts of an interview or the takes from a rehearsal. Merging them into one file makes them easier to listen to, send or upload to a platform.

Add your clips, order them with the arrows and choose how they’re joined. “Silence between clips” leaves a pause of up to five seconds between each one, handy for chapters or interview questions. “Crossfade” blends the end of each clip into the start of the next for up to ten seconds, the way a DJ moves from one song to the next. If you choose neither, they’re joined back to back with no gap.

You can mix different formats (for example, an MP3 with an M4A and a WAV) and mono files with stereo ones: everything is converted to the same sample rate, and if any file is stereo, the result will be too.

Merging happens in your browser, without uploading your files. The free trial merges two clips; with ToolStudio Pro you can merge as many as you need and use the tool without limits.
